Date: April 15, 2017
The game between closely ranked teams ended with 11th ranked Winterthur's (3-21) road loss to tenth ranked Massagno (8-15) 81-89. It looked good early as Winterthur took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Massagno had a 15-13 second period charge getting the lead and Winterthur was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 81-89. Massagno forced 21 Winterthur turnovers. The winners were led by American forward Brandon Taylor (201-94, college: Penn St., agency: Three Eye Sports) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and Danish center Jonas Bergstedt (210-91) supported him with 13 points and 9 rebounds. Massagno's coach Renato Pasquali allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 27 points by American guard Jordan Downing (196-92, college: Presbyterian) did not help to save the game for Winterthur. His fellow American import forward Milton Jennings (206-90, college: Clemson, agency: Court Side) added 14 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. Five Massagno and four Winterthur players scored in double figures. Massagno maintains tenth position in Places 7-11 with 8-15 record. Winterthur at the other side stay dead last with 21 lost games. Massagno's next round opponent will be higher ranked Boncourt (#9) on the road and it may be quite challenging game.
