Second Stage Round 5: KTE-Duna - Sopron KC 88-86

Important game to mention about took place in Kecskemet. Fourth ranked KTE-Duna (15-15) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 5th ranked Sopron KC (13-17) 88-86 on Saturday evening. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Sopron KC won third quarter 23-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. KTE-Duna made 20-of-25 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Naturalized Serbian forward Tomislav Ivosev (204-90, agency: 011 Sports) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and Serbian center Kemal Karahodzic (210-89) chipped in 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Brandon Johnson (183-86, college: San Diego, agency: BeoBasket) responded with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import guard Julien Mills (193-85, college: Ball St., agency: HMS) scored 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Five KTE-Duna and four Sopron KC players scored in double figures. KTE-Duna have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Szedeak. Sopron KC at the other side keeps the fifth position with 17 games lost. KTE-Duna will play against league's leader PVSK Pannon in Pecs in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sopron KC will play on the road against Szedeak (#4) in Szeged and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
