Second Stage Round 6: Falco KC - Szolnok 77-71

The game between Top Four teams took place in Szombathely. Third ranked host Falco KC (20-11) defeated one of their biggest challengers Szolnok (19-12) 77-71. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Falco KC looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American point guard Darrin Govens (185-88, college: St.Joseph's) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points, 5 rebounds and 12 assists. The other American import point guard Lester Medford (178-93, college: Baylor, agency: Three Eye Sports) chipped in 20 points. Falco KC's coach Srecko Sekulovic used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was international swingman David Vojvoda (196-90) who recorded 16 points and 4 assists and Croatian center Luksa Andric (208-85, agency: BeoBasket) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Four Szolnok players scored in double figures. Falco KC maintains third position with 20-11 record having just one point less than leader PVSK Pannon, which they share with ZTE KK. Defending champion Szolnok dropped to the fifth place with 12 games lost. Falco KC will meet league's leader Alba in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Szolnok will play against ZTE KK (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
