Second Stage Round 9: Szedeak - Kaposvari 88-77

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Kaposvari (18-15) against fourth ranked Szedeak (18-16) on Saturday night. Visiting Kaposvari was defeated by Szedeak in Szeged 88-77. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Szedeak looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was Serbian guard Marko Boltic (193-87, agency: 011 Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points, 6 rebounds and 12 assists. Serbian center Nenad Sulovic (202-85, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 20 points and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Winsome Frazier (193-82, college: Mississippi St., agency: Interperformances) who recorded 17 points and 4 assists and the former international power forward Roland Hendlein (206-86) added 11 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Szedeak moved-up to third place. Loser Kaposvari keeps the second position with 15 games lost. Szedeak will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kaposvari will play against the league's leader PVSK Pannon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
