The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked Alba (23-10) on the court of fifth ranked Szolnok on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by Szolnok 80-78. The hosts trailed by 8 points at the halftime before their 31-20 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Montenegrin Nikola Pavlicevic (192-88) stepped up and scored 22 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and international swingman David Vojvoda (196-90) chipped in 20 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. The best for the losing side was the former international power forward Peter Lorant (206-85, agency: Octagon Europe) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and American point guard Brandon Taylor (178-94, college: Utah) scored 15 points and 6 assists. Four Alba players scored in double figures. Defending champion maintains fifth place with 20-14 record. Alba at the other side still keeps top position with ten games lost. Szolnok will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Alba will play at home against the league's second-placed Kormend and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
