Kupol-Rodniki dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to MBA Moscow's 32. It was a very good performance for center Ruslan Abdulbasirov (211-93) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Center Aleksey Karpeko (204-89) contributed with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Power forward Alexei Kuznetsov (205-84) answered with 12 points and 8 rebounds and forward Dmitry Korshakov (201-91) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for MBA Moscow. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Kupol-Rodniki will face Universitet-Yugra (#11) in Surgut in the next round and are hoping to win another game. MBA Moscow will play on the road against Samara-SGEU and hope to win that game.
