Regular Season Round 1: Cegledi EKK - PEAC-Pecs 85-65

Cegledi EKK used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Pecs 85-65 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Cegledi EKK. PEAC-Pecs managed to win second period 25-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding PEAC-Pecs to just 6 points in third quarter. It was a great shooting night for Cegledi EKK especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The former international forward Nora Nagy-Bujdoso (185-85) fired 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Cegledi EKK's coach Laszlo Cziczas used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Nigerian forward Sarah Imovbioh (188-92, college: S.Carolina) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds and American point guard Briana Roberson (170, college: Stanford) added 17 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Four PEAC-Pecs players scored in double figures. Cegledi EKK will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. PEAC-Pecs will play against MTK (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
