Atomeromu smashed MTK in Szekszard 93-53. The game without a history. Atomeromu led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to MTK's 30 and made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. Atomeromu forced 23 MTK turnovers and outrebounded them 33-22 including 20 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by MTK's players. 24 personal fouls committed by MTK helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Erica McCall (190-95, college: Stanford, agency: ProDep Management) stepped up and scored 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and the former international power forward Anna Mansare (188-92, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds (made all of her nine free throws !!!). Five Atomeromu players scored in double figures. At the losing side Croatian forward Andrijana Cvitkovic (190-94, college: Dayton, agency: Interperformances) responded with 13 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Zsuzsanna Szekely-Horvath (189-83, college: Georgetown) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. MTK will play next round against PEAC-Pecs trying to get back on the winning streak. Atomeromu will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
