Kormend edged MAFC at home 69-67. The hosts were ahead by 1 point but lost the second period ending it with a 1-point deficit before their 24-21 run, which allowed them to win the game. Kormend made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Kormend outrebounded MAFC 41-22 including a 15-0 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Marquis Wright (185-95, college: Siena) notched 20 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import forward Justin Tuoyo (208-94, college: Chattanooga) supported him with 8 points and 11 rebounds. Kormend's coach Gasper Potocnik used entire bench in such tough game. Even a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) by Bahamas forward Bennet Davis (206-84, college: Northeastern, agency: Inception Sports) did not help to save the game for MAFC. Montenegrin guard Amin Hott (192-92) added 20 points and 5 steals (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the guests. MAFC will play next round against strong Kaposvari trying to get back on the winning streak. Kormend will try to continue on its current victory against Sopron KC on the road.
