Regular Season Round 3: Winterthur - Pully 80-77

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Pully (1-1) on the court of Winterthur on Saturday night. Visitors were edged by Winterthur 80-77. It was a good game for American forward Alex Welsh (200-94, college: Colorado Springs) who led his team to a victory with 35 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds. His fellow American import center Sam Downey (206-94, college: Yale) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. American guard Jonathan Wade (193-93, college: Norfolk St.) answered with 19 points and 4 assists and Bahamas center Shaquille Cleare (203-93, college: Texas) added 14 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Pully. Winterthur is looking forward to face Boncourt (#11) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Pully will have a break next round.
