Regular Season Round 4: Falco-Vulcano - MAFC 96-61

Date: October 14, 2017
Rather predictable result in Szombathely where seventh ranked Falco-Vulcano (2-1) smashed 10th ranked MAFC (1-3) 96-61 on Saturday. The game without a history. Falco-Vulcano led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by MAFC's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Darrin Govens (185-88, college: St.Joseph's) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and international swingman Zoltan Perl (195-95) who added 17 points and 4 steals (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Falco-Vulcano players scored in double figures. Falco-Vulcano's coach Srecko Sekulovic felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Bahamas forward Bennet Davis (206-84, college: Northeastern, agency: Inception Sports) responded with 20 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) and British power forward Will Neighbour (210-90, college: UALR, agency: HMS) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Falco-Vulcano moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Kormend. MAFC lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with three games lost. Falco-Vulcano will face Kormend (#5) on the road in the next round. MAFC will play against DEAC (#8) and hope to win that game.
