Regular Season Round 4: BEAC Ujbuda - Cegledi EKK 62-77

Bottom-ranked BEAC-Ujbuda (0-4) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fourth consecutive match to sixth ranked Cegledi EKK (2-1) 77-62. It looked good early as BEAC-Ujbuda took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Cegledi EKK had a 17-10 second period charge getting the lead and BEAC-Ujbuda was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 62-77. Cegledi EKK players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by BEAC-Ujbuda's players. The winners were led by Serbian center Jelena Maksimovic (191-82) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and DR Congolese forward Chanel Mokango (196-88, college: Mississippi St., agency: ProDep Management) supported her with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Even 8 points and 11 rebounds by center Vanessza Kovacs (185-96) did not help to save the game for BEAC-Ujbuda. Swingman Anna Suppan (177-94) added 16 points for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cegledi EKK moved-up to fifth place, which they share with ZTE NKK. BEAC-Ujbuda at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Cegledi EKK will play against league's second-placed Sopron Basket on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. BEAC-Ujbuda will have a break next round.
