Regular Season Round 5: Sopron KC - Kaposvari 74-79

A Division top team - Kaposvari (4-0) added another victory to their record. This time they beat ninth ranked Sopron KC (1-3) 79-74. It looked good early as Sopron KC took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Kaposvari had a 24-17 second period charge getting the lead and Sopron KC was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 74-79. The former international power forward Roland Hendlein (206-86) nailed a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side and American guard Mo Evans (185-94, college: IPFW) accounted for 24 points. Five Kaposvari players scored in double figures. American power forward Ryan Watkins (206-91, college: Boise St., agency: Two Points) came up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and Serbian Uros Duvnjak (190-86, agency: BeoBasket) added 16 points respectively for Sopron KC in the defeat. Kaposvari have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 4-0 record, which they share with Szolnok. Sopron KC at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with three games lost. They share it with Alba. Kaposvari will play against Falco-Vulcano (#7) in Szombathely in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Sopron KC will play on the road against Szedeak (#9) in Szeged and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
