Regular Season Round 5: MAFC - DEAC 70-75

Rather predictable result in Budapest where eighth ranked DEAC (3-2) defeated 11th ranked MAFC (1-4) 75-70 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But MAFC won fourth quarter 23-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. DEAC made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. American forward Isaiah Armwood (206-90, college: G.Washington) stepped up and scored 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and the former international swingman Andras Molnar (193-83, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 18 points and 5 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Montenegrin guard Amin Hott (192-92) responded with 18 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals and Bahamas forward Bennet Davis (206-84, college: Northeastern, agency: Inception Sports) scored 17 points and 9 rebounds. Four MAFC players scored in double figures. DEAC moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Atomeromu and PVSK-Veolia. MAFC lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with four games lost. DEAC will face higher ranked Kormend (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. MAFC will play against ZTE KK (#10) in Zalaegerszeg and hope to win that game.
