Regular Season Round 4: Boncourt - Winterthur 88-52

Date: October 21, 2017
Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked Boncourt and 10th ranked Winterthur had identical 1-2 record. This time Boncourt used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Winterthur 88-52 on Saturday night. They outrebounded Winterthur 45-29 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Boncourt shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Brandon Brown (180-91, college: Loyola Mary) who helped to win the game recording 31 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import center Amir Williams (211-92, college: Ohio St.) who added 6 points, 21 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side American center Sam Downey (206-94, college: Yale) responded with 7 points and 11 rebounds and power forward Jeyvi Miavivululu (201-90, college: Felician) scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. Winterthur's coach Mitar Trivunovic already knew that his team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Boncourt (2-2) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Neuchatel. Loser Winterthur dropped to the bottom position with three games lost. Boncourt will face Swiss Central (#7) in Luzern in the next round. Winterthur will play at home against the league's second-placed Lugano Tigers (#2) and hope to win that game.
