Regular Season Round 5: Szolnok - Atomeromu 91-86

The game between Top Four teams took place in Szolnok. Leader host Szolnok (4-0) defeated 3rd placed Atomeromu (3-2) 91-86. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Atomeromu. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Atomeromu won third quarter 24-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Forward Quincy Ford (203-93, college: Northeastern) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and point guard Kendrick Perry (183-92, college: Youngstown St.) chipped in 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Seth Allen (185-94, college: Virginia Tech) responded with 32 points and 5 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and point guard Jabarie Hinds (180-92, college: Massachusetts, agency: Two Points) scored 12 points and 7 assists. Four Szolnok and five Atomeromu players scored in double figures. Szolnok have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Kaposvari. Atomeromu at the other side dropped to the fourth place with two games lost. They share the position with DEAC and PVSK-Veolia. Szolnok is looking forward to face Alba (#11) in Szekesfehervar in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Atomeromu will play at home against KTE-Duna (#8) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
