Winterthur (3-1) recorded its first loss at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by sixth ranked Helios (2-2) 67-61. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Winterthur. The guests trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 38-26 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Forward Miriam Baumann (180-93, college: Quest) fired a double-double by scoring 18 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Greek guard Anna Stamolamprou (175-95, college: Robert Morris) chipped in 21 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. American swingman Quiera Lampkins (175-95, college: Ohio, agency: LBM Management) produced 20 points and 6 rebounds and the former international swingman Cinzia Tomezzoli (175-88) added 13 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Winterthur at the other side keeps the second position with one game lost. Helios is looking forward to face Riva (#5) in Riva San Vitale in the next round. Winterthur will play on the road against the league's leader Fribourg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
