We should mention about the upset which took place in Irkutsk, where 10th ranked Irkut Irkutsk (3-7) lost at home to thirteenth ranked Universitet-Yugra (2-7) 81-88 on Tuesday. Serbian guard Nemanja Protic (182-86) had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Evgeny Karpeko (204-89, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Universitet-Yugra players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international power forward Alimdzhan Fedyushin (210-89) with 29 points and swingman Grigoriy Andreev (193-90) scored 10 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Irkut Irkutsk's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Universitet-Yugra moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Ryazan. Irkut Irkutsk lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with seven games lost. Universitet-Yugra will meet higher ranked Spartak-Prim. (#6) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Irkut Irkutsk will play against Novosybirsk (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
