Regular Season Round 5: UMMC - Dynamo NR 89-41

PBL top team - UMMC Ekaterinburg (6-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixth ranked Dynamo NR (2-4) 89-41. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Dynamo NR. UMMC Ekaterinburg dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Dynamo NR's 26. UMMC Ekaterinburg forced 20 Dynamo NR turnovers and outrebounded them 49-27 including a 16-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. UMMC Ekaterinburg players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Dynamo NR's players. Spanish swingman Alba Torrens (188-89) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. The former international Olga Arteshina (188-82) contributed with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four UMMC Ekaterinburg players scored in double figures. Elizaveta Bratchikova (190-96) answered with 7 points and 7 rebounds and the former international Veronika Dorosheva (190-91, agency: LBM Management) added 5 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Dynamo NR. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. UMMC Ekaterinburg have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 6-0 record. Dynamo NR at the other side dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. UMMC Ekaterinburg's next round opponent will be MBA (#4) in Moscow.
