Regular Season Round 6: BEAC Ujbuda - PINKK-Pecsi 66-83

Bottom-ranked BEAC-Ujbuda is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fifth consecutive match to tenth ranked PINKK-Pecsi (2-4) 83-66. BEAC-Ujbuda was ahead by 5 points at the halftime before a 27-4 third quarter run of PINKK-Pecsi. They dominated on the defensive end, holding BEAC-Ujbuda to just 4 points in third quarter. PINKK-Pecsi forced 22 BEAC-Ujbuda turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American forward Ivey Slaughter (186-94, college: Florida St.) had a double-double by scoring 27 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import center Shelby Cheslek (196-92, college: Gonzaga) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. PINKK-Pecsi's coach Jens Tillman allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was power forward Judit Barnai (189-94) with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and guard Sara Pusztai (170-87) scored 16 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. PINKK-Pecsi moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Vasas Akademia. BEAC-Ujbuda at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost. PINKK-Pecsi will play against MTK (#10) in Budapest in the next round. BEAC-Ujbuda will play on the road against UNI Gyor and hopes to get finally their first victory.
