Regular Season Round 6: Rostov - Neftyanik 59-56

Ninth-ranked Neftyanik (1-3) gave a tough game to first ranked BC Rostov (5-1) on Thursday. BC Rostov managed to secure only three-point victory 59-56. However their fans expected much easier game. Forward Eleonora Oleynikova (178-98) scored 23 points to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Anna Zaytseva (183-99) chipped in 18 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was Kseniya Kornienko with 9 points and 11 rebounds and center Nadezhda Matrosova (185-93) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. BC Rostov have a solid four-game winning streak. BC Rostov maintains first position with 5-1 record. Neftyanik at the other side stay at the bottom place with three games lost. BC Rostov is looking forward to face league's second-placed UMMC Junior in Ekaterinburg in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Neftyanik will play on the road against Stavropol (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
