Regular Season Round 7: PINKK-Pecsi - MTK 66-58

Rather predictable result when seventh ranked PINKK-Pecsi (3-4) defeated at home 10th ranked MTK (1-6) 66-58 on Saturday. They outrebounded MTK 49-26 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Ivey Slaughter (186-94, college: Florida St.) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Her fellow American import center Shelby Cheslek (196-92, college: Gonzaga) chipped in 7 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists. International point guard Bernadett Horvath (170-96, agency: Interperformances) produced 13 points and Croatian forward Andrijana Cvitkovic (190-94, college: Dayton, agency: Interperformances) added 10 points respectively for lost side. Four MTK players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. PINKK-Pecsi maintains seventh place with 3-4 record. MTK lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with six games lost. PINKK-Pecsi will meet higher ranked Cegledi EKK (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. MTK will have a break next round.
