Regular Season Round 7: Sopron KC - Falco-Vulcano 65-83

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Falco-Vulcano (4-2) beat on the road 12th ranked Sopron KC (1-5) 83-65 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 16-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 83-65. Falco-Vulcano dominated on the defensive end, holding Sopron KC to just 6 points in second quarter. They made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Quite impressive performance for international swingman Zoltan Perl (195-95) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 4 assists. American point guard Darrin Govens (185-88, college: St.Joseph's) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Four Falco-Vulcano players scored in double figures. American power forward Ryan Watkins (206-91, college: Boise St., agency: Two Points) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds and Slovenian power forward Sasa Zagorac (206-84, agency: PEPI SPORT) added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Sopron KC. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Falco-Vulcano moved-up to third place, which they share with Kaposvari. Sopron KC lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the thirteenth position with five games lost. Falco-Vulcano will face DEAC (#6) in Debrecen in the next round. Sopron KC will play on the road against Atomeromu (#9) in Paks and hope to win that game.
