An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Moscow. Top-ranked UMMC Ekaterinburg faced 4th ranked MBA. Guests from Ekaterinburg (7-0) defeated host MBA (2-3) 63-52. UMMC Ekaterinburg forced 23 MBA turnovers. The best player for the winners was Belgian center Emma Meesseman (192-93, agency: LBM Management) who scored 17 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Slovenian point guard Nika Baric (169-92) chipped in 12 points and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was center Olga Gorbacheva (192-88, agency: LBM Management) who recorded 9 points and 10 rebounds and international point guard Karina Nizamova (170-92) added 7 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. UMMC Ekaterinburg have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 7-0 record. MBA at the other side dropped to the fifth place with three games lost. UMMC Ekaterinburg will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
