Top ranked BC Rostov (6-2) recorded its second loss at the home court on Monday night. Hosts were defeated by third ranked UMMC Junior (4-2) 79-66. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of BC Rostov. UMMC Junior forced 21 BC Rostov turnovers. The best player for the winners was point guard Elizaveta Komarova (172-95, agency: LBM Management) who scored 17 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Elizaveta Krymova (180-96) chipped in 22 points and 4 steals. Four UMMC Junior players scored in double figures. Forward Eleonora Oleynikova (178-98) produced 22 points and 5 assists and power forward Anna Zaytseva (183-99) added 17 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. UMMC Junior maintains third position with 4-2 record having 2 victories less than leader Rostov. BC Rostov at the other side still keeps top place with two games lost. UMMC Junior are looking forward to face MBA-2 (#8) in Moscow in the next round where they are favorite. BC Rostov will play on the road against Nika (#7) in Syktyvkar and is hoping to win this game.
