Rather predictable result in Saint Petersburg where fifth ranked Zenit-2 (4-6) defeated 7th ranked Enisey-2 (2-6) 88-75 on Friday. Zenit-2 dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Enisey-2's 36. Zenit-2 forced 24 Enisey-2 turnovers. Power forward Yegor Leonov (201-99) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 17 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Pavel Zakharov (207-1) chipped in 16 points during the contest. Five Zenit-2 players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Kirill Subbotin (200-98) with 16 points and forward Danil Pazdnikov (195-98) scored 8 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Zenit-2 maintains fifth position with 4-6 record, which they share with CSKA Junior. Enisey-2 lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with six games lost. Zenit-2 will face higher ranked Khimki-2 (#3) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Enisey-2 will play against the league's second-placed Lokomotiv-2 (#2) in Krasnodar and hope to win that game.
