Regular Season Round 8: Atomeromu - Sopron KC 95-74
Date: November 11, 2017
Rather predictable result in Paks where ninth ranked Atomeromu (4-4) smashed bottom-ranked Sopron KC (1-6) 95-74 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Atomeromu. Sopron KC was better in third quarter 22-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Atomeromu looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of international power forward Janos Eilingsfeld (198-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Seth Allen (185-94, college: Virginia Tech) who added 21 points and 5 assists during the contest. Five Atomeromu players scored in double figures. Slovenian power forward Sasa Zagorac (206-84, agency: PEPI SPORT) responded with 25 points and 5 rebounds and American power forward Ryan Watkins (206-91, college: Boise St., agency: Two Points) scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Atomeromu moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Sopron KC lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with six games lost. Atomeromu will face Alba (#11) in Szekesfehervar in the next round where they are favorite. Sopron KC will play at home against DEAC and hope to win that game.
