Regular Season Round 8: MAFC - Szolnok 77-88

A Division top team - Szolnok (7-0) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat twelfth ranked MAFC (2-6) in Budapest 88-77. The game was mostly controlled by Szolnok. MAFC was better in second period 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The winners were led by international swingman David Vojvoda (196-90) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and Croatian center Luksa Andric (208-85, agency: BeoBasket) supported him with 17 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four Szolnok players scored in double figures. Even 25 points and 8 assists by Montenegrin guard Amin Hott (192-92) did not help to save the game for MAFC. Bahamas forward Bennet Davis (206-84, college: Northeastern, agency: Inception Sports) added 16 points and 9 rebounds for the hosts. Szolnok have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-0 record. MAFC at the other side keeps the twelfth place with six games lost. Szolnok will play against league's second-placed Kormend on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. MAFC will play against KTE-Duna (#10) in Kecskemet and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
