The game in Pecs was also quite interesting. Second ranked Kormend (6-1) played at the court of 7th ranked PVSK-Veolia (3-4). Kormend defeated PVSK-Veolia 87-74 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Kormend. PVSK-Veolia managed to win second period 23-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American guard Marquis Wright (185-95, college: Siena) who scored 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import guard Andre Hollins (186-92, college: Minnesota, agency: 3Eye) chipped in 17 points and 6 assists. Four Kormend players scored in double figures. Kormend's coach Gasper Potocnik used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Kristof Simon (186-94) produced 16 points, 7 assists and 4 steals and Croatian forward Veljko Budimir (199-85) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Kormend have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 6-1 record behind leader Szolnok. Loser PVSK-Veolia dropped to the ninth place with four games lost. They share the position with Alba and KTE-Duna. Kormend will meet at home league's leader Szolnok in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. PVSK-Veolia will play against Kaposvari (#4) and hope to secure a win.
