Regular Season Round 8: JP-Auto JKSE - KTE-Duna 97-80

JP-Auto JKSE has finally registered their first victory this season after five consecutive losses. The win is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked KTE-Duna (3-4) 97-80 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 52-33 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. JP-Auto JKSE shot 63.6 percent from the field and made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. JP-Auto JKSE outrebounded KTE-Duna 26-14 including a 21-7 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for JP-Auto JKSE especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Devante Wallace (196-92, college: High Point) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!) and 4 assists and Serbian guard Miljan Rakic (195-86, agency: Mansfield and Associates) who added 16 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Four JP-Auto JKSE players scored in double figures. American guard Bernard Thompson (191-93, college: FGCU) responded with 17 points and 5 steals and Serbian swingman Marko Djerasimovic (198-84, agency: BeoExcell) scored 17 points. JP-Auto JKSE (1-5) left bottom position moving up to thirteenth place. KTE-Duna at the other side dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. They share it with Alba and PVSK-Veolia. JP-Auto JKSE are looking forward to face higher ranked Szedeak (#5) in Szeged in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. KTE-Duna will play at home against MAFC (#12) and is hoping to win this game.
