Regular Season Round 6: Avtodor-2 - Unics-2 49-80

VTB-Youth top team - Unics-2 (9-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed tenth ranked Avtodor-2 (0-8) in Saratov 80-49. Unics-2 held Avtodor-2 to an opponent 24.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 41.0 percent accuracy of the winners. Unics-2 forced 25 Avtodor-2 turnovers and outrebounded them 54-36 including 19 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a good game for center Semen Pinaev (208-99) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds. Forward Aleksey Pasechnik (197-97) contributed with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Unics-2 players scored in double figures. Coach Andrei Kibenko's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play all 12 players saving starting five for next games. Nikita Mikhailovskiy replied with 10 points and 8 rebounds and guard Sergei Rozhkov (188-99) added 9 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Avtodor-2. Unics-2 have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-2 record. Avtodor-2 at the other side still closes the standings with eight games lost. Unics-2's next round opponent will be Samara-2 (#4) on the road. Avtodor-2 will play against N.Novgorod-2 (#9) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
