A very interesting game took place in Luzern. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 9th ranked Monthey (4-5) to sixth ranked Swiss Central (4-5) 81-80 in the game for the sixth place. Swiss Central shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 61.9 percentage. American center Eric Thompson (204-93, college: Pacific) nailed a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side and his fellow American import point guard Austin Chatman (183-93, college: Creighton, agency: SDJ Sports) accounted for 24 points. Four Swiss Central players scored in double figures. The former international guard Jonathan Kazadi (193-91) came up with 20 points and 6 rebounds and American forward Markel Humphrey (198-86, college: Marshall, agency: 3Eye) added 19 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Monthey in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for Swiss Central. They maintain sixth place with 4-5 record, which they share with Monthey and Massagno. Swiss Central's next round opponent will be higher ranked Neuchatel (#5) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
