Regular Season Round 6: Samara-2 - Unics-2 72-75

A very close game took place in Samara between Unics-2 and Samara-2. First ranked Unics-2 (9-2) got a very close victory on the road over 4th ranked Samara-2 (7-3). Unics-2 managed to escape with a 3-point win 75-72 on Thursday evening. The best player for the winners was Vadim Kudinov (195-98, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) who scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Aleksey Pasechnik (197-97) chipped in 17 points. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Dmitriy Gusenkov (184-99) who recorded 15 points and 4 steals and guard Ivan Rebrov (192-98) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Unics-2 have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-2 record. Loser Samara-2 keeps the fourth place with three games lost. Unics-2 will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Samara-2 will play again against the league's leader Unics-2 (#1) and hope to secure a win.
