Real Madrid led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Slovenian guard Luka Doncic (201-99) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. American-Azerbaijani Jaycee Carroll (188-83) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Serbian swingman Dragan Milosavljevic (198-89, agency: BeoBasket) replied with 10 points and 6 rebounds and forward Daniel Diez (202-93) added 6 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Unicaja Malaga. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Real Madrid went down to first position due to points difference, which they share with 31 other teams including defeated Unicaja Malaga. Real Madrid's next round opponent will be Panathinaikos in Athens. Unicaja Malaga will play at home against the league's leader CSKA.
