Important game to mention about took place in Vevey. Eleventh ranked Starwings (2-6) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 12th ranked Lakers (1-8) 63-62 on Saturday evening. The best player for the winners was Serbian-Montenegrin center Nemanja Calasan (204-85, college: Purdue, agency: HMS) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. American-Armenian swingman AJ Hess (201-94, college: S.Dakota St.) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. Four Starwings players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Senegalese center Mansour Kasse (208-92) who recorded a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds and DR Congolese-French forward Eric Katenda (206-92, college: N.Texas) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Starwings moved-up to tenth place. Lakers lost their eighth game in a row. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with eight games lost. Starwings will face higher ranked Swiss Central (#7) in Luzern in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Lakers will play on the road against Monthey (#6) and hope to win that game.
