The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Samara-SGEU as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Samara-SGEU smashed 12th ranked Zenit-Farm at home 116-67. Samara-SGEU dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Zenit-Farm's 34 and made 18-of-21 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game.
