A very interesting game took place in Novosybirsk. It ended with only one-point home defeat of higher ranked Novosybirsk (7-6) to twelfth ranked MBA Moscow (3-9) 78-77 on Thursday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Novosybirsk. MBA Moscow forced 19 Novosybirsk turnovers. The former international forward Sergey Toporov (197-81, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) nailed a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and forward Dmitry Korshakov (201-91) accounted for 11 points and 9 rebounds. Five MBA Moscow players scored in double figures. Guard Sergey Tokarev (191-85) came up with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and Alexey Nesterov (204-88) added 12 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Novosybirsk in the defeat. MBA Moscow moved-up to eleventh place. Novosybirsk at the other side dropped to the seventh position with six games lost. MBA Moscow's next round opponent will be higher ranked Kupol-Rodniki (#9) in Izhevsk and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
