An interesting game for Austrian Vienna (3-0) which hosted in Vienna 3rd ranked Slovakian Prievidza (1-3). Top-ranked Vienna had an easy win 96-73. Vienna made 21-of-23 free shots (91.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Guard Stjepan Stazic (199-78) notched 46 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and Czech center Jiri Hubalek (208-82, college: Iowa St., agency: Interperformances) supported him with 25 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Even a double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds by Jamaican-British forward Ryan Martin (206-91, college: Tenn Tech) did not help to save the game for Prievidza. American swingman Grant Sitton (206-93, college: Victoria) added 18 points and 4 steals. Four Prievidza players scored in double figures. Vienna have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group A with 3-0 record. Loser Prievidza keeps the third place with three games lost. Vienna will again meet Prievidza (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Prievidza will have a break next round.
