Regular Season Round 7: BK Decin - Kormend 80-72

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Hungarian Kormend (3-1) on the court of sixth ranked Czech BK Decin on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by BK Decin 80-72. BK Decin outrebounded Kormend 45-28 including a 21-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Ondrej Siska (190-93) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 6 assists. Forward Tomas Pomikalek (200-89) contributed with 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. BK Decin's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Akos Halasz (183-91, agency: HMS) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists and power forward Milan Csorvasi (209-88, agency: HMS) added 17 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) in the effort for Kormend. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. BK Decin (4-2) moved-up to fifth place in Group B. Kormend at the other side keeps the sixth position with one game lost. BK Decin will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kormend will play on the road against Rieker KN (#7) in Komarno and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
