Regular Season Round 10: Massagno - Lugano Tigers 86-81

The most important game in the last round took place in Massagno between second ranked Lugano Tigers (8-2) and seventh ranked Massagno (6-4) on Sunday night. Lugano Tigers were defeated by Massagno in a tough game on the road 81-86. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Lugano Tigers. Worth to mention a great performance of Kenyan forward Tylor Ongwae (199-91, college: La-Monroe) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard Justin Roberson (186-93, college: La-Monroe) contributed with 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Massagno's coach Robbi Gubitosa used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American power forward James Padgett (203-91, college: Maryland) replied with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and his fellow American import swingman Isaiah Williams (201-92, college: Iona) added 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Lugano Tigers. Four Massagno and five Lugano Tigers players scored in double figures. Massagno moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Neuchatel. Lugano Tigers at the other side keep the second position with two games lost. They share it with Geneve Lions. Massagno is looking forward to face Swiss Central (#8) in Luzern in the next round. Lugano Tigers will play at home against the league's leader Fribourg (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
