Regular Season Round 9: MBA - Spartak N. 75-67

Bottom-ranked Spartak Noginsk (0-7) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 75-67 loss to sixth ranked MBA (4-4) in Moscow. International Anna Leshovceva (181-87) nailed 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and Ekaterina Sytnyak (185-82, agency: LBM Management) accounted for 13 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Maria Savina (188-88, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) came up with 22 points and 9 rebounds and Natalya Potemina (185-88) added 22 points (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!) respectively for Spartak Noginsk in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. MBA moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Sparta&K MR. Spartak Noginsk lost their seventh game in a row. They still close the standings with seven games lost. MBA's next round opponent will be Kazanochka (#9) on the road which should be theoretically an easy game. Spartak Noginsk will play against Nadezhda Orenburg and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
