Regular Season Round 9: Sparta&K MR - Kazanochka 73-62

There was no surprise when 8th ranked Kazanochka (3-6) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Spartak Vidnoye (4-4) 73-62. Spartak Vidnoye players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Croatian Ivana Dojkic (180-97) nailed 16 points and 7 assists for the winning side and forward Adelina Abaiburova (186-95, agency: LBM Management) accounted for 16 points and 5 rebounds. Spartak Vidnoye's coach Sergei Danilin allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Varvara Psareva (192-85) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Merritt Hempe (190-94, college: Georgia) added 13 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Kazanochka in the defeat. Spartak Vidnoye moved-up to fourth place, which they share with MBA. Kazanochka at the other side dropped to the ninth position with six games lost. Spartak Vidnoye's next round opponent will be Dynamo NR (#6) in Novosibirsk. Kazanochka will play at home against MBA and hope to win that game.
