The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Spartak-Prim. (12-4) in Vladivostok on Tuesday night. Hosts were defeated by sixth ranked Ural Ekaterinburg (10-6) 81-75. It ended at the same time the 11-game winning streak of Spartak-Prim.. Ural Ekaterinburg made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Kirill Gornaev (203-96) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and center Ilya Luppo (200-94) who added 15 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side guard Viktor Zaryazhko (195-92) responded with 18 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Maxim Krivosheev (207-88) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Spartak-Prim.'s coach Milos Pavicevic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Ural Ekaterinburg have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 10-6 record. Spartak-Prim. at the other side still keeps top place with four games lost. They share the position with TEMP-SUMZ. Ural Ekaterinburg are looking forward to face Irkut Irkutsk (#10) on the road in the next round. Spartak-Prim. will play against the league's leader TEMP-SUMZ Revda (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
