Regular Season Round 10: Swiss Central - Neuchatel 62-86
Date: December 6, 2017
The game in Luzern supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Neuchatel (6-4) played at the court of 8th ranked Swiss Central (4-6). Neuchatel smashed Swiss Central 86-62 on Wednesday. American forward Andre Williamson (202-89, college: Appalachian St.) notched a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international guard Brian Savoy (189-92) supported him with 18 points and 7 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Four Neuchatel players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 19 points and 14 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) by American center Eric Thompson (204-93, college: Pacific) did not help to save the game for Swiss Central. His fellow American import point guard Austin Chatman (183-93, college: Creighton, agency: SDJ Sports) added 14 points and 5 assists for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Neuchatel maintains fourth position with 6-4 record, which they share with Massagno. Loser Swiss Central dropped to the seventh place with six games lost. They share the position with Monthey and Pully. Neuchatel will meet at home Winterthur (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Swiss Central will play against Massagno (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
