Samara-SGEU outrebounded Khimky-Podmoskoye 46-30 including 20 on the offensive glass. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Forward Alexander Savenkov (205-82) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. The former international forward Aleksei Zozulin (198-83) contributed with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Samara-SGEU's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The former international center Ruslan Pateev (213-90, college: Arizona St., agency: Alti Sport) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Maxim Tkachenko (185-92, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 15 points and 4 assists in the effort for Khimky-Podmoskoye.
