Regular Season Round 10: MAFC - Szedeak 73-61

Date: December 9, 2017
Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Szedeak (5-5) and MAFC (3-7), which took place in Budapest. Higher ranked Szedeak lost to twelfth ranked MAFC in a road game 61-73 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by MAFC. Szedeak managed to win fourth quarter 14-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Bahamas forward Bennet Davis (206-84, college: Northeastern, agency: Inception Sports) notched 15 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and British power forward Will Neighbour (210-90, college: UALR, agency: HMS) supported him with 19 points and 6 rebounds. Davis is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four MAFC players scored in double figures. Even 18 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists by Serbian guard Marko Boltic (193-87, agency: 011 Sports) did not help to save the game for Szedeak. Serbian guard Andrija Ciric (198-80) added 15 points and 12 rebounds for lost side. MAFC maintains twelfth position with 3-7 record. Loser Szedeak dropped to the sixth place with five games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. MAFC will meet higher ranked Atomeromu (#9) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Szedeak will play against the league's leader Kormend having rather not much hope for a victory.
