Everything went according to plan in Vevey where sixth ranked Boncourt (6-5) outscored bottom-ranked Lakers (1-10) 94-72. Boncourt shot 68.0 percent from the field and made 20-of-26 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Lakers were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Brandon Brown (180-91, college: Loyola Mary) who led the winners and scored 34 points (!!!). His fellow American import center Amir Williams (211-92, college: Ohio St.) accounted for 19 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Five Boncourt players scored in double figures. Swingman Axel Louissaint (197-96) came up with 18 points and DR Congolese-French forward Eric Katenda (206-92, college: N.Texas) added 17 points respectively for Lakers in the defeat. Boncourt maintains sixth place with 6-5 record. Lakers lost tenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Boncourt will play against Monthey (#7) at home in the next round. Lakers will play against Winterthur (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
