Regular Season Round 17: Tambov - Dynamo-MGTU 96-72

The game between third ranked Dynamo-MGTU (8-5) and fourth ranked Tambov (9-6) was the most important one in the last round on Friday night. Dynamo-MGTU was crushed by Tambov in Tambov 72-96. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Dynamo-MGTU's 40. Tambov looked well-organized offensively handing out 37 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Dynamo-MGTU's players. Power forward Svyatoslav Makushkin (202-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Swingman Ivan Gavrilov (199-85) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Pavel Rossov (205-94, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) answered with 17 points and 5 rebounds and guard Maksim Abyzov (191-90) added 18 points in the effort for Dynamo-MGTU. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tambov moved-up to third place in 2. Dynamo-MGTU at the other side dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. Tambov are again looking forward to face Dynamo-MGTU (#4) in Maykop in the next round. Dynamo-MGTU will have a break next round.
