Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Universitet-Yugra (11-7) was defeated on the road by third ranked Samara-SGEU (13-6) 69-55. Samara-SGEU outrebounded Universitet-Yugra 43-26 including 29 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Maksim Chislov (198-93, agency: Alti Sport) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 4 steals. Forward Alexander Savenkov (205-82) contributed with 7 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Samara-SGEU's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Serbian guard Nemanja Protic (182-86) answered with 12 points and 4 assists and center Daniil Solovev (212-87) added 10 points in the effort for Universitet-Yugra. Samara-SGEU maintains third place with 13-6 record having just two points less than leader Spartak-Prim., which they share with TEMP-SUMZ. Universitet-Yugra at the other side dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost. Samara-SGEU's next round opponent will be Kupol-Rodniki (#10) in Izhevsk and are hoping to win another game. Universitet-Yugra will play at home against Irkut Irkutsk (#9) and hope to win that game.
