Regular Season Round 11: Sopron KC - ZTE KK 84-91

Very expected game when 14th ranked Sopron KC (1-9) was defeated at home by eighth ranked ZTE KK (6-5) 91-84. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 22-19. But Sopron KC won second period 20-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. ZTE KK players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Croatian power forward Ivica Radic (208-90, agency: XL Basketball Agency) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds (on 16-of-19 shooting from the field). International swingman Szilard Benke (198-95) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Ryan Watkins (206-91, college: Boise St., agency: Two Points) answered with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import swingman Muhammad El-Amin (196-87, college: Stony Brook) added 14 points and 8 assists in the effort for Sopron KC. ZTE KK moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Sopron KC lost their seventh game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. ZTE KK's next round opponent will be PVSK-Veolia (#8) in Pecs. Sopron KC will play on the road against JP-Auto JKSE (#13) in Jaszberenyi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
